environmental engineering consultancy that provides turn-key solutions to their industrial and
municipal clients. Their services include engineering design, environmental permitting,
construction management, and contaminated site investigation and remediation.
WeaverTech is looking for a self-starter, driven and engaged person to join their Water and Waste
Management line of business. The successful individual will gain both field and office
experience related to landfill and waste/wastewater management sites in BC. This person must
maintain flexibility with an interest in expanding their knowledge base towards supporting
our other lines of business (e.g., soil and groundwater contamination or habitat
assessments). Additional expanded tasks may include characterization and remediation in
relation to contaminated sites, biological monitoring and assessment, construction monitoring,
and environmental permitting. This role does not require the successful candidate to be based
in North Vancouver, however being located in the Lower Mainland area or Vancouver Island
would be considered an asset.
Key Competencies and Abilities include:

University level English technical writing skills [Evidence of undergraduate course studies records will be required].

Possession of, eligible for, or in training with a professional group (e.g., P.Eng., P.Geo,P.Ag., etc.)

Working knowledge of BC environmental regulations. Familiarity working with regulating provincial ministries and municipal bodies would be considered an asset.

Completion of an environmental science/engineering degree, or related degree with accompanying work experience
-
At least 1 to 3 years of industry experience. Consulting experience will be considered an asset

Experience implementing field programs that include collection of various media (soil, water, biota, etc.) and management of subcontractors experience will include Stage 1 and 2 PSIs and DSIs.

Applications under the BC Contaminated Site Regulations for regulatory instruments will be considered an asset

Superior verbal and written communication skills

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs

Valid driver’s license in Canada with a Clean Driver’s abstract and personal vehicle (non-negotiable)

Canadian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or Work Permit
